In Year 11 of the Health and Social Care qualification, 60% of the end grade is completed as set coursework – broken into two components.
Pupils are assessed by ‘timed tasks’ known as Pearson Set Assignments (PSA), whereby they are required to complete an assignment set by the exam board in an allotted time.
Students will be completing 5 tasks under supervised conditions within lessons for Component 2. It is therefore very important that all students attend every lesson to complete their exam assignment tasks. The PSA time is monitored, and all students are expected to complete these tasks in silence, just like an external exam.
Further information can be found in the newsletter below.
Following the October half term, ClassCharts will be the only app that we will use as a school to communicate with parents, so in essence your SIMS app will be redundant. In the interim, until we have all parents registered on the ClassCharts app, we will continue to send information by both SMS text message and the announcements function on the ClassCharts app.
