We very much hope you and your child will be able to attend our Year 8 Parents' Evening on Thursday 14th March 2024, to discuss your child’s work and progress.

60% of the final grade for the Health and Social Care qualification is completed as set coursework, split into two components. Students are assessed through ‘timed tasks’ known as Pearson Set Assignments (PSA), whereby they are required to complete an assignment set by the exam board in an allotted time.  

Students will shortly be completing tasks under supervised conditions within lessons for Component 1.  

We very much hope you and your child will be able to attend our Year 11 Parents' Evening on Thursday 29^th February 2024, to discuss your child’s work and progress.

Information on the formal assessment for Component 1 which will take place between Monday 29^th January and Wednesday 27^th March.

As you are aware, at this stage of Year 9, it is time to consider students’ choices for KS4 and ultimately, those subjects they will achieve their first external qualifications in. We know these are big decisions and would like to reassure you that there will be a great deal of support on offer during the Year 9 Choices process.

To help support you and your child in making these important decisions, we would like to invite parents/carers to a Choices Information Evening on Tuesday 30th January 2024 at 5.30pm.
