Keeping Children Safe
If you have a concern for a child’s safety…
Should parents or members of the public have any safeguarding or welfare concerns about a student of Moorside High School they should be reported directly to one of the designated members of staff shown below, or by:
- Telephoning the school directly on 0161 804 4022
- Emailing MHSInfo@consilium-at.com
- Filling in the online SHARP request
It is our priority to ensure that every member of Team Moorside are healthy, happy, and safe.
This means more than just making sure they are physically safe, but looking after their emotional and mental well-being too. They need to know how to keep themselves safe when they are out, and to ensure they know all about online safety, on social networks, and when using their mobile phones.
If you have any concerns about the safety and well-being of your children, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Please find below some links to several websites, videos, and documents that provide advice and support to help you keep your children safe.
The UK Government has launched a new advice and support site to help keep children safe from sexual abuse. The site includes advice for parents and carers on spotting the signs of sexual abuse and speaking to your child about relationships and safety. It also signposts to sources of further support for children, adults and professionals including the NSPCC helpline and Childline.

Child Employment: Do you know a young person who has a part-time job?
If they’re aged 13 to 16 and working, there are important rules in place to protect them.
✅ Employers must apply for a work permit
✅ Jobs must be safe and suitable for young people
✅ Working hours are limited to help young people balance school and work
These rules are there to help young people gain experience without putting their safety, wellbeing or education at risk.
