As you are aware, at this stage of Year 9, it is time to consider students’ choices for KS4 and ultimately those subjects they will achieve their first external qualifications in.
We are writing to inform you about an important update regarding our school's management information system (MIS). Over the Christmas break, we have transferred from SIMS to Arbor.
As you are aware, your child is currently completing the Cambridge National in Creative iMedia GCSE Examination course. As part of this course, students are required to complete an external examination, earlier than the other GCSE courses.
As you are aware, the Year 9 assessments will take place during lesson time between Monday, 20th January 2025, and Friday, 31st January 2025.
As you are aware, our Year 10 assessments are taking place during lesson time, between Monday, 20th January 2025, and Friday, 31st January 2025.

Year 11 Parents' Evening: Thursday 23rd January 2025, 3:30pm – 6:00pm
We very much hope you and your child will be able to attend our Year 11 Parents' Evening on Thursday 23rd January 2025, to discuss your child’s work and progress.
As part of our on-going Careers Programme in Year 11, we are inviting students to take part in a MOCK INTERVIEW with a visitor from the world of work.
We very much hope you and your child will be able to attend our Year 7 Parents' Evening on Thursday 17th October 2024, to discuss your child’s work and progress.
e are delighted to invite our Year 11 Parents and Carers to our Make it Stick – helping your child to revise presentation
and Careers Fair, on Tuesday 8th October, 5:00pm until 7:00pm.
Once students have settled in Year 7, we look at where they are currently working in Maths and using the information we have from Primary Schools, our own baseline assessment, and the diagnostic assessments they sit in the first half term, we place students in sets that best suit their needs.
New Legislation comes into force on 19th August 2024 regarding the issuing of penalty notices relating to none school attendance. The following changes will come into force for penalty notice fines issued after 19th August 2024.
